Super Smelling Toilet Cleaner
Ingredients:
- ½ cup baking soda
- ½ cup vinegar
Essential oils:
Use 10 drops total. Choose from the following or make a blend
- Lemon
- Mandarin
- Tea tree
- Black spruce
Directions
Pour the baking soda and vinegar in the toilet, then add your essential oils. Let sit for 15 minutes (or longer if necessary), scrub, and flush. I know it may seem your flushing the oils down the toilet, but its no different than cleaning a surface. The oils will evaporate and penetrate the room during the 15 minutes, so not only does the toilet get cleaned but the air is disinfected at the same time.

Bye-Bye Bathroom Mold
Ingredients:
- ½ cup borax (borax is a mineral salt that is mined from the earth)
- ¼ cup vinegar
- ¼ cup hydrogen peroxide
Essential oils:
- 30 drops of Tea tree
Supplies:
- Bowl to mix the ingredients
- Brush or sponge
Directions:
Mix the borax, vinegar, and hydrogen peroxide in a bowl to make a paste.
Add tea tree oil
Scrub with brush or sponge and rinse with water. For tough mold, let it sit for an hour before rinsing.
If you don’t like the aroma of tea tree, try any citruses, cedar-wood, lemongrass or Eucalyptus. Diffusing oils can help destroy airborne microbes (mold spores are airborne). This recipe is for weekly routine cleaning if the mold is not resolved you may have to use something stronger and then use this as a preventative.
